Whether you’re close or far from your goals, you have to start somewhere.
Today, I’m starting from the latter.
A little background on me: while I’ve never been the skinniest person in the room, I was always on the lower end and remained that way with relative ease. Essentially, I was what most people would consider “skinny fat.”
However, I’m not going to lie, my recent mental health struggles and transitioning to the full-time desk-job life and, now, to full-time grad school has taken a big toll on my physical and mental health. From stress and boredom eating to not being active enough, I’ve gained weight and it definitely shows.
So, at 5’0″, 115 lbs, and 27-inch waist, I’m starting my journey to better physical and mental health today. This is my starting point.
While it might not be my ideal starting point, I’m finally ready to do the work that’s needed to be in a healthier, happier place and to love myself again.
